Shipping containers and storage containers are subject to severe corrosion from salt air, rain and ground moisture. Shot blasting strips all rust and old coatings to bare metal, preparing the steel for a new protective coating system that will extend the container's service life.
We blast both the external panels and internal walls and floor of containers. Internal blasting is particularly important for containers that will be used for food storage, chemical storage or as accommodation units.
A standard 20ft container takes approximately 4–6 hours to blast externally. Internal blasting adds 2–3 hours. We can blast multiple containers in a single mobilisation to reduce unit costs.
